Jose Joaquín Lopez is an assistant professor of economics at the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis. He is an economist whose work spans the fields of macroeconomics, economic development, labor economics, and public finance.
He received a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Chicago and is a graduate of the AEA Summer Training Program in economics. He earned his M.A in economics from the University of Chicago and his M.Sc. in economics from the University of Texas at El Paso.
