Deniz Çivril is a research scientist at the Wellesley Centers for Women at Wellesley College and special sworn status researcher at the U.S. Census Bureau. Her research interests center on labor economics, international trade, and corporate finance.
Her current projects explore the effects of state paid leave laws on firms using confidential U.S. firm- and individual-level data. She received her Ph.D. in international economics and finance from Brandeis University in 2014 and her M.A. in psychology from The New School in 2019.
