Alix Gould-Werth is the former director of family economic security policy at the Washington Center for Equitable Growth. Prior to joining Equitable Growth, she was a human services researcher at Mathematica Policy Research. Gould-Werth holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and a B.A. from Swarthmore College.
Her work focuses on poverty and inequality and has been published in Monthly Labor Review, Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, Social Service Review, Sociology of Race and Ethnicity, and Survey Practice.
