Marta Lachowska is a senior economist at the W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research and an affiliated researcher at the Swedish Institute for Social Research, or SOFI, at Stockholm University.
Her area of interest is mainly in the field of economics of social insurance, with a focus on the impact of unemployment insurance on labor market outcomes.
She is also interested in economic applications of survey-based measures such as consumer confidence and measures of subjective well-being. Prior to coming to the W.E. Upjohn Institute, she spent three semesters at Princeton University’s Industrial Relations Section as a visiting predoctoral researcher.
