Jonathan Colmer is an associate professor of economics and public policy in the Department of Economics at the University of Virginia and director of the Environmental Inequality Lab. He works to understand how growth, development, and the environment interact to shape prosperity, opportunity, and well-being.
His research has been published in leading academic journals, including the Review of Economic Studies, Science, Nature, the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, and the Review of Economics and Statistics. Colmer received his Ph.D. in economics from the London School of Economics.
