Derek Wu is a assistant professor of public policy and economics at the University of Virginia’s Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy. He is also a research affiliate at IZA and the Comprehensive Income Dataset Project.
His research interests lie in labor and public economics, focusing on poverty, inequality, and the effects of government programs. He received a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago’s Harris School of Public Policy and a B.A. in public and international affairs from Princeton University.
