Bruno Pellegrino is an assistant professor of finance at the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business. His research is in (international) finance and macroeconomics, with a secondary interest in industrial organization.
His work on general equilibrium oligopoly recently won the Best Corporate Finance Paper Prize at the Western Finance Association meeting and the Best Job Market Paper Award from the European Economic Association. Pellegrino received his Ph.D. in business economics from the University of California, Los Angeles Anderson School of Management in December 2020.
He holds an M.Sc. in finance and economics from the London School of Economics and a B.Sc. in international economics from Bocconi University in Italy. Previously, he worked as a global macro strategy analyst at Credit Suisse and as a predoctoral research fellow at the University of Chicago.
Pellegrino currently teaches undergraduate international finance at the University of Maryland. His research has been covered by Bloomberg, The Washington Post, Barron’s, and Il Corriere della Sera. He is a native of Italy.
